In the Name of God Amen, the tenth day of September one thousand six hundred and twelve I Henry Bushrode of Craford (1), in the Countie of Dorset, yeoman being sicke in body but perfect in remembrance thanks be to Almitie God doe make this my last will and testament in manner and for me following First I give unto Allmightie God my maker and my redeemer my soule which is his due and Commit my bodie to be buried in the church yard of this same parish In Primus I give to the Church of the same parish sixe shillings eight pence Itm I give to the poor of the same parish ffive pounds, ffortie shillings of it to be paid at my buriall day, ffortie shillings to be paid Christmas day next Twentie shillings to be paid at Easter next, I give to the poore of little Craford Twentie shillings, I give to the poore of Keniston (2) Twentie shillings, I give to Henry Bushrode the sonne of Robert Bushrode of Shireborne late deceased the some of Thirtie Pounds to be paid him at the age of one and Twentie yeares, Itm I give unto his other two sonnes the some of Twenty pounds a peece to be paid at the age of one and Twentie yeares and in the meane tyme to bee ymployed to their vse, Itm I give vnto the youngest of my brother John Bushrods daughters of Tawnton late deceased the some of Twentie Pounds to be paid seaven yeares after my Decease and in the meane tyme to ymploy it to her vse, Itm I give Mary Bushrode my kinswoman the some of Tenn Poundes to be paid two yeares after my Decease, Itm I give my Cosen William Bushrode the some of Tenn Poundes to be paid three years after my decease and in the meane tyme to imploy it to their vse, Itm I give and bequeath to the Children of Robert Rapsham of Shireborne the some of ffortie shillings a peece to be paid to their father for their Childrens vse within sixe monthes after my decease, Itm I give Henry Robertes the some of ffortie Shillings to be paid him within six moneth after my Decease, Itm I give vnto George Schovell the sonne of George Schovell the somme of sixe Poundes to be paid with in six monethes after my Decease and two heyfers which are nowe at pasture with William Hughes, Itm I give vnto the Children of John Bushode late of Shirborne the some of ffive Poundes a peece to be paid at the age of one and Twentie years and in the meane tyme to be ymployed to their vse and if anie oe of them dye before they come to age his ffive Pounds shall remayne to the rest of his Children, All other of my goods both moveable and vnmoveable I give vnto Richard Bushrode of Dorchester whome to make my full and whole sole Executor of this my last will and Testament, Signed in the presence of vs vnderwritten Thomas Frampton George Batt, Itm I gyve vnto my brother William Bushrode the somme of ffyve Pounds, Itm I give to my godchildren sheepe, two sheepe a peece of my Chilver sheepe. Probate of this written testament has been granted at London by the venerable Rev Edmund Pope Doctor at Law and surrogate to the venerable John Benet legal official of the Perogative Court of Canterbury on the twelth day in the month of July in the year of our Lord 1614 by the oath of Richard Bushrode executor of the deceased unto whom administration was granted.
